CoEd Winter Indoor Track
Although the weather is decent right now, a solid line of rain is on the radar for this evening. So, we’re going to cancel tonight’s 6:30pm workout at the track to keep the athletic trainer, coaches, athletes, and parents from having to drive in the bad weather. Also, with no access to the building, just in case storms came along we would have no where to retreat to.
We’ll try again on Thursday night and Friday afternoon!
Track and Cross Country will offer fall conditioning workouts beginning Monday September 21. The current schedule is listed below:
Mondays & Fridays 3:45pm to 5:45pm: All athletes welcome. (throwers see below)
Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:30pm to 8:30pm: DISTANCE RUNNERS ONLY AT THIS TIME
Monday-Wednesday-Friday 4:15pm to 5:00 pm: THROWERS ONLY
Coach Diller and/or Coach Hinton along with the XC coaches will be present to work with athletes on Mondays and Fridays. Coach Thomas and Coach Calway are the only coaches scheduled for Tuesday/Thursday at the moment. We may add sprints/field events to one of the evening sessions at some point, but for the moment they are distance workouts. Coach Sullivan works with the throwers on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.
All athletes must have a VHSL physical form and concussion education on file in the Activities Office to participate. You may scan and send these documents to Beth Longo at email@example.com. Athletes must also bring an Emergency Care Card to the workouts for the coaching staff.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there are additional regulations all athletes must follow to work out. Those will be posted here soon.
