CoEd Spring Track & Field
The end of season track banquet will be Tuesday May 29th at 6:00pm in the Langley cafeteria. We need you to RSVP if you are planning to attend for two reasons. One, please let us know how many people will be attending so we can order enough food. The athlete and their family are all welcome and the meal is paid for by the team fund. Two, we only print out our varsity and participation certificates and have them ready if you are attending the banquet so we can keep the event moving along. Look under "Team Files" for the top performance list with every athlete during the regular season.
All track athletes need fo go to the "Team Files" tab and download the Spring Track Team Forms Checklist and the required forms listed. This includes the Team Rules, Team Fund, Parent Volunteer Form, FCPS Participation Form, Off campus running form, and weight room form. If you competed during the indoor track season, you need only bring in the Team Fund form and check and the checklist indicating you've read the team rules and volunteer forms. The forms and check for the Team Fund are due by Friday March 16th.
The Team Fund pays for all the food/drinks served to the athletes before every meet, the Senior Night Meet food, the District Team Dinner, and the End of Season Banquet, among other things. If you have siblings on the team, you only need to pay one fund.

All athletes must have a uniform top and shorts. That is the only required clothing for new track athletes. If you are a returning athlete and don't own either the travel warm-ups or a hoodie/pants combination from the store below, you should also get one set to travel to away meets in.

These items are optional, but nice to have and come with your name embroidered on them.

If you believe you have been left off the roster in error, or were cut and want to discuss the reasons, please contact Coach Diller. While we do not like to make cuts, we also want to provide a positive experience for those on the team where everyone can get some attention from the coaches,. Please realize that we already kept significantly more people than we had originally intended and will be closely monitoring attendance and will not hesitate to cut additional athletes who are not attending practice. If you were cut, we encourage you to keep running on your own during the spring and join the cross country team in the summer/fall.
Reminder, we practice EVERY WEEK DAY, with warm-ups beginning at 3:40pm.
If you still haven't completed the Registration From in step #4, please do it so we have your e-mail and your parent's e-mail for team updates.
All athletes must have completed the following to tryout:
1. Physical form on file in the Activities Office
2. Both parent and student completion of Concussion Education (CLICK HERE)
3. Emergency Care Card submitted to track mailbox in Activities Office
4. Register for tryouts at the Google Forms page (CLICK HERE)
Unfortunately, we had to make cuts due to limited busses and to make sure all athletes have a chance to work with the coaches.
